Aerial Fitness Fundamentals with Stuart McKenzie

Build elite-level strength, clean lines, and injury-resilient technique with one of the industry’s most respected coaches.

Level: All levels welcome (progressions & regressions provided)

What you’ll learn

  • Shoulder mechanics & scapular control: active vs. passive hangs, safe engagement, overhead stability

  • Core for aerialists: hollow/arch, anti-rotation, hip flexor vs. abdominal activation

  • Efficient inversions & entries: timing, momentum, and energy-saving technique

  • Beats & swing basics: tempo, body shapes, and control across apparatus

  • Grip endurance & injury-prevention: forearm care, recovery, sustainable training

  • Short conditioning circuits: take-home drills to keep improving after the workshop

Format & apparatus

Cross-apparatus fundamentals for silks, hammock, lyra, straps and more. No specific apparatus experience required—Stuart tailors progressions to each participant.

Bring

Fitted training clothes (no zippers), water bottle, optional grip, small notebook.
